An Unconventional H-1B Visa Success Story

I’m excited to share that I assisted my company client in securing an H-1B visa approval for their candidate who did not meet the traditional qualifications.

To approve an H-1B visa, @USCIS generally requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, which my client’s employee candidate did not have. But I worked with my client and the candidate to successfully demonstrate that his extensive work experience in the field was equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology. This strategy is complex and far from guaranteed, which makes each approval—including this one—a big win.

What made this case even more memorable was that it involved the highly competitive H-1B cap lottery. With only 85,000 visas available each year and selection odds as low as 1 in 4, securing this visa required both luck and meticulous strategy.
