USCIS recently shared the exciting news that they have made substantial progress in reducing
their processing times across a variety of forms. We have been seeing this in our own cases as
well, and we encourage anyone who is thinking about filing an immigration application to
contact us for an assessment!
Significant Achievements Reported by USCIS:
Their latest fact sheet reveals impressive strides in reducing median processing times for several high-volume forms. Notable achievements include:
The processing time for naturalization applications stands at 5.2 months, marking the lowest figure since 2016.
Employment authorization documents for adjustment applicants are processed in just 3.6 months, the shortest duration since 2017.
Advance parole documents are now processed in 4.4 months, the lowest since 2018.
Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker (non-Premium), boasts a swift processing time of 2.7 months.
Employment authorization documents for asylum applicants and certain parolees now take less than 30 days to process.
While celebrating these achievements, USCIS recognize the need for further improvement in
processing times for certain application types. With USCIS’ recent fee adjustment rule, they
should be recovering their operating costs more effectively, and supporting their efforts to
expedite processing of more form types. We look forward to continued advancements in USCIS services for our clients.
